  I AM THE NEW MEETUP ORGANIZER FOR EX-JW's IN MICHIGAN

  hi all you fellow michiganders.. i wanted to make you aware that the meetup site entitled, "ex-jehovah's witnesses of michigan" will not be disolved.

  i decided since today was the last day before it would be no more, i should step up, and so i gladly did.. seeing that there has not been one meetup since it's inception, i plan to change that.

  i know there is at least one person from here who is registered with our meetup.

  i don't see her review of today's study article.

  the "experience" of the person who was shunned by his family until he got himself reinstated really bothered me.

  no mention of repentance, no mention of his wanting to restore worship of jehovah back into his life.

  Wife got a call from her mother who listen in. Mother said she felt one brother over stepped the societies word caus on one paragraph he commented how any who dont go to the hal have disassociated themselves and should be treated as a disfelloshipped person.

  I d/l the PDF for her but I cant bring myself to read that drivel any more. I just scan Blondies for her comments only!

  I wrote this on another board, Great Vid Blonde-movement!

  Thankfully my love of star wars and transformers was too much for my mother to counteract so she let me have my toys. I had one friend who would by transformers and other toys and leave them at my house cause his mother would throw them out.

  Ironically that reminds me of another problem with this vid and the way dubs operate. Eventually caleb will learn not to bring a fun new toy home and hide it from his mother. This will create a double life of shame and mistrust of the parents who SHOULD be caring for him and nurturing him into a well balanced adult. Not a paranoid schitzo afraid the slightest NORMAL human behavior will 'make Jehovah sad.'

  i`m just wondering if their stumbling from one disaster to another in their belated efforts to embrace modern technology , smart phones , the web, twitter , pc`s, you tube , social networking ,etc.etc.

  is really going to be their demise in the long run .

  i know they frown on higher education , but the gaffes they have made in recent years is getting beyond the joke.. ignorance can be excused to a degree , uneducated people can be excused to a degree, but plain stupidity, cannot !

  I got a 4yr old nephew who can read log onto the internets and search for whatever he wants. He follows his favorite cartoons on nick for kids.com

  Now these dumbarsed old men at bethel drop a brainwashing cartoon for them to search and JWN probably has the most sparlock hits?!?

  They just succeeded in creating some of the youngest apostates ever!

  Maybe the kids can teach the parents a thing or two.

  I dont know which is worse:

  The fact that they have been using that tired example for 3 decades (that I know of.)

  Or the fact a young person today probably hasn't got a clue what a 'trapper is or does?!?
